Alien: "Lost World"

Texture: "Rough Edges"

I'm not exactly sure how I made this, but I started out creating eliptical style shapes and then blurring/smudging until I was content on how it turned out. Then I added a filter... which was the fiber and then messed around with the settings there to give it a wood/sand paper look to it

"Oasis Retreat" Concept

I'm not entirely sure about the validity of the concept, but what I was going for was an idea of taking some time to get away from the fast pace, stressful city life, and fly to what I like to think of as an "Oasis Retreat". I believe this captures the distinction between a fast pace life style from the city, and a more relaxing environemnt from a paradise island. Within the Oasis Retreat, I included water basketball and the swimming pool, because I love swimming, and basketball as well. It took some time to smooth out the rough edges, but it seems complete and not half bad.

I personally like the last one with the brush strokes filter because it provides the picture will a small change of improvement around the eyes to give a more natural fitting, while still keeping the original masking in tact and unchanged dramatically as seen in the other two filters.

This would be my 4th pick:)

Examples

My expectations for this class (IMED) is to improve my skills in the area of multimedia and learn key components of each program that will be used in the course itself. I want to better my sense around the internet and learn a little bit about the course itself. This may come in handy when it comes time to start creating my senior project and I look forward to having a pleasurable experience and pass the class with flying colors.
